The entrance to the Kunstgebäude is located in the middle, behind the arcades. If you are facing the building, we recommend that wheelchair or rollator users enter from the right-hand side. There, the surrounding step slopes forward. Over a width of approximately 1 m, the step height is less than 3 cm.

The Kunstgebäude is located at Schlossplatz, not far from Stuttgart Central Station. The nearest underground stop is Schlossplatz.

From the Central Station, take the Stadtbahn (U5, U6, U7, U12, U15) to the stop Schlossplatz. From there, you can reach the entrance of the Kunstgebäude via Bolzstraße in approx. 150 m.

Alternatively, take bus 47 from the Central Station one stop to Kleiner Schlossplatz. From there, you can reach the entrance of the Kunstgebäude via Bolzstraße in approx. 400 m.

From Charlottenplatz, take the Stadtbahn (U5, U6, U7, U12, U15) one stop to Schlossplatz. From there, you can reach the entrance of the Kunstgebäude via Bolzstraße in approx. 150 m.

Underground car park Königsbau: You can reach the Kunstgebäude via Bolzstraße in approx. 240 m. It is located between Carls Brauerei and the Neues Schloss.

Parking garage Landtag PBW: You can reach the Kunstgebäude in approx. 450 m. Exit the garage towards Eckensee and turn left towards Neues Schloss, then continue along Wolfgang-Windgassen-Weg to the Kunstgebäude.

Underground car park Schlossgarten: You can reach the Kunstgebäude in approx. 450 m. After leaving the garage, turn left onto John-Cranko-Weg, which becomes Stauffenbergstraße. Turn left again into Schlossplatz. The Kunstgebäude is on your left-hand side.

Parking garage Staatsgalerie: You can reach the Kunstgebäude in approx. 900 m. Exit onto Konrad-Adenauer-Straße/B14 and turn left. Follow the road until the traffic lights just before the State Library. Cross the street and walk through the Schlosspark until you reach Wilhelm-Keil-Weg. This leads into Wolfgang-Windgassen-Weg, which takes you to Schlossplatz. The Kunstgebäude is located on your right-hand side. 

From Stuttgart Central Station, you can reach the Kunstgebäude on barrier-free paths in approx. 600 m. Cross the traffic lights at the main exit of the station. Continue along Königstraße for approx. 550 m to Schlossplatz. There, turn left. The Kunstgebäude is located between Carls Brauerei and the Neues Schloss.

The exhibition rooms of the Kunstgebäude are located on the ground floor and are barrier-free. Accessible toilets are located in the basement, which can be reached via the lift. Lockers are also available there.

Wheelchairs, rollators, and portable folding visitor chairs are available free of charge in the foyer. Please ask at the ticket desk. If arranged in advance, we can also provide an accompanying person should you require assistance.

Visitors with disabilities may bring certified assistance dogs into the exhibition rooms. No prior registration is required.
