• Wilhelm Betz presents his new photo series “In and Out of Drag,” which shows portraits of people as a photographic approach to the transition between two identities – everyday life and stage, person and artistic character. A special highlight: three of the drag performers will appear live during the vernissage.
• Richie Böhmer’s photographs, taken in special locations around Stuttgart, are creatively edited. Through the use of composition and color, he creates unique visual worlds. The result is expressive works with a painterly character.
• Dieter Meissner’s photo series “Orchestra Rehearsal” shows striking close-up portraits of musicians from the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra. In his portraits, he captures the immense concentration and dedication with which music is developed and brought into perfect harmony.
• Bernd Mückenhaupt focuses his attention on the ground at various locations in and around Stuttgart. Through GPS data, each place can be precisely identified. Do we actually look at the ground where we stand? Or do we usually fail to notice what we are standing on, where we live, and where we move?
• Michael Paus’ work moves in the field between authentically staged portrait photography and editing with the help of artificial intelligence.
