Lecture series: »Kunst Kontrovers« 13

In our digitalized present, a new feminist self-understanding can be observed: Using pop-cultural references and an apparently vulgar visual language, young artists and cultural producers succeed in reinterpreting negative ideas of sexuality, corporeality, and femininity in an emancipatory way. In this panel, we will discuss the potentials and manifestations of this contemporary form of feminism, as well as the critiques it faces – including from within other feminist movements.
