Artist Talk with Julius Pristauz

Julius Pristauz pursues a cross-disciplinary artistic approach that moves between installation, sound, performance, and writing. His work repeatedly focuses on processes of identity formation, social codes, and their technological mediation at the intersection of public and private spheres. For the exhibition, Pristauz has created a site-specific installation as well as a performance in collaboration with Fran Klein. In the artist talk, Julius Pristauz and Dierk Höhne (curator of the exhibition) discuss the conceptual backgrounds of the new works as well as the relationship between visual and performative practices.
